Layer Breeding Products
They market their products under the well-known brand names ISA, Babcock, Shaver, Hisex, Bovans and Dekalb; they are recognized for their high production of prime quality table eggs. All six brands are available in both white and brown. Shaver and Bovans are also available as black feathered birds laying brown eggs. Thanks to their extended gene pool they are also able to create genetic solutions for specific market needs and conditions: examples are ISA Warren and Dekalb Amberlink.
Hendrix Genetics has grown from a family owned layer farm to an important player in the global layer breeding business. Based in Ospel, the Netherlands, the Hendrix family is the largest shareholder of Hendrix Genetics, which was set up last year and includes the layer breeder companies Hendrix Poultry Breeders (HPB) in Boxmeer, the Netherlands, and ISA (Institute de Sélection Animale SAS) in St. Brieuc, France. The two companies and their various brands of layers grow further to become global brands, and effectively compete against the layer breeds from Hyline and Lohmann, part of Erich Wesjohann GmbH&Co.KG. Together the two layer breeder companies HPB/ISA and Hyline/Lohmann provide 90-95% of the world's layer flock.

Institut de Sélection Animale (ISA) is the layer breeding division of Hendrix Genetics. They deliver Grand Parent Stock (GPS) and Parent Stock (PS) to the worldwide layer industry, from operational centres on four continents.
Thanks to the excellent quality of their genetic programme, they have a variety of products available, fitting the needs of both egg producers and consumers. We are proud that around 50% of world egg production comes from the layers bred by this company.
